This event coincides with the Nikkei Games / Nisei Week events of Track & Field, Karate, Judo , Kendo , Taiko, Baseball, Softball, Volleyball, Basketball, Golf and Bowling every year.

Last year's tournament again was conducted as a scratch tournament with a field of 142 Junior bowlers, 80 adult singles, 4 womens and 10 in the Men's Team Event and 3 in the seniors team event. Each year participation is increasing, remember we have a limited amount of spacing as there is only 1 squad of each event!!

The top 3 in each event receive the Gold , Silver and Bronze medals respectively, there is no prize money. The cost is only $15.00 which includes a free Nikkei Games "Games for the Generations" T-shirt, 3 games of bowling (moving each game) and refreshments.

We ran optional scratch pots paying out 100% for both the men and the women and T&G brackets runs optional scratch brackets!

We also had an optional raffle that paid back 100% with 1st place prizes well over $100 each squad. The lanes were challenging , yet scorable as some mighty nice scores were shot.

The winner's pictures of the tournament will be sent in to the Rafu Shimpo with all the other Nikkei Games events. Congratulations to all of our winners.
The tournament is hosted by the OC Sansei and Tozai Nikkei bowling tournaments. Thanks go out to the entire committee ( Alex Ho, Eric Shishima, George Irei, Carrie and Emil Francisco , Donald Toy, Everett and Jayne Nishikawa, Mako Mizuki, Cori Murakami, Lynne Tomita, Rich & Susan Okamoto Lock and Lynne Nakahara for their help in staging this year's event. Richard Fukuhara (chairperson for the Nikkei Games) and Mikey Culross (Rafu Shimpo) was on-hand to take pictures.

See you all next year!! This website will always be here and next year will have the entry and stuff well before the tournament so be sure and visit - especially when it gets near May and June...

* New for 2003 - Men's and Women's singles will now be divisioned by AGE.Each Age division had anywhere from 7 - 10 bowlers. So, one division by age didn't have too many participants i kept the number of participants in each division to a reasonable number that is why some have gaps of 12 years and others only 2 years.
