Japanese American National Bowling Association 2012 Tournament : DENVER, Colorado !! This year's 2011 tournament was held in San Francisco, CA over the first full weekend of March as usual. This year's tournament will be in Snow Country Denver, Colorado. Following Denver the tournament in 2013 will be back in Las Vegas NV and the following year for 2014 will bein Sacramento , CA. Entries are now out for the Denver Colorado tournament! For those of you new to JANBA (Japanese American National Bowling Association) , the tournament is a week-long tournament, but you can enter events for only 1 day or as many as 5 days its up to you ... The tournament runs every year in a different city in the first FULL week of March. Ragtime doubles kicks off the tournament on sunday night. Monday :Mixed doubles events are run all day Tuesday: Women's 4-gamer and Men's 6-gamer all day Wednesday: women's and men's team events all day * Main-Event Thursday: doubles for the men's and women's * Main-Event Friday: doubles concludes, women's and men's singles * Main Event Saturday: singles concludes on saturday morning & Awards Banquet. The tournament is scratch , but you are scheduled with bowlers in your same average group. The idea is to win or cash in your division , and if you win that and you are high overall , you can win the main board which consists of all divisions, which would be quite an honor!! You don't ask for squad times you will be assigned a squad time based on your average (or team's average in non-singles events). You will get a schedule prior to the tournament, just make sure you save the whole day in case you aren't sure what time you will bowl. Just be flexible, plan to get there the day before the event. Since the main events are team , singles and doubles, you can bowl those on wed, thur, and friday.
